I should have taken the before pictures, but they were rather stomach turning ...and, I was busy trying to get him into our dentist, while he held out his knocked out tooth in a bag of milk. The worst part of it all, is that I do not do well with the whole mouth and loose teeth pulling thing anyway, that just puts me over the top....even loose teeth. I can handle about anything else...and have, but not that.
Long story short, Chayce was playing flag football and got elbowed in the mouth...four years 5 years of little league football...no broken teeth, let alone loose, but flag football will get you very time! There is a wire holding the teeth in, after having the tooth jammed back in there and missing quite a big piece of the gum....not as bad as the before!! Hos front should make it...but the side one does not have much hope, but we will see next week if the gm and bone except the tooth, IF not more work and more money...... and the schools no longer cover accidents such as this!
The worst part of the whole thing is that he can't play football this week..if at all next week (per the dentist) and his team is already down four hurt players and we started with low numbers from the beginning. This is the last game of the season and they have to win to go to the playoffs.....we'll see if he can actually stay out of the game. He has had a great year and is playing on all the starter teams. On the upside...he is totally psyched, he says that this insures that he will get braces as Mack and I were on the fence about this! To have a teenagers outlook.....
and to think this all came after he got a third degree burn on his leg from the four wheeler (his dad was driving!) and has just played through the skin ripping apart and being stepped on by cleats......
He is still grinning through it all!!! (He thinks he is getting out of practicing the violin!)
