Mackelle Elizabeth McDonald

Here is lucky number 4.......Mackelle Elizabeth McDonald, born in Salt Lake City and named after her dad and fourth great grandma who was a pioneer to the valley and a tenacious and gifted woman from Scotland. Kelle was born while both mack and I were full blown into school at the University of Utah, in fact her presence became known during my second semester....and she presented herself during the start of my third semester and attended classes with me for the next two semesters, until her smacking lips jugging down sound on her food...(not the bottle) became way to obvious for the faint hearted to take in class and she was relegated to staying home with dad.... who totally adored his Kelle Belle.

Kelle is now the hugest, awesomest age of 8 and is so way cooler in 2nd grade then all those first graders!! She had a great birthday and then had an even better day as she was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She looked beautiful in her pure white dress and was beaming as she came out the water and knew that she had chosen the right and become a a disciple of Jesus, always following his commandments. AS she was confirmed by her dad and given a blessing, she grinned the whole way through as often she doesn't feel like she gets enough attention and here she was in the spotlight. mack was thoughtful and diligent in helping her understand her role int he family and that she definitely reminds the family what love is all about.

Kelle loves to laugh and pull tricks on her family, something her mom (pulling pranks and being the subject of a prank don't bring out the best in me!) is still adjusting to, kelle keeps us laughing and learning to look at the bright side of life.

Kelle had become a super doper soccer player, she has loved the sport and has been her teams main goal scorer......which is big in soccer. She loves to dance and sing and has been especially attached to a camp rock microphone that is close to driving me nuts! (thank you Cara...so glad I suggested it!!!) but she loves to sing wo we don't stop her. Ask her to sing Momma Mia....she is great!

We wouldn't know what to do without Kel and know that she chose our family to keep us laughing. With her dark eyes and hair, she was hand picked by her dad in his dreams. Mack often called her bear and it has stuck because she could hold her own with the biggest kids (ours and the neighborhood bully) and wouldn't back down. But she is as tender and cuddly as she is stubborn...and still loves to sneak into our bed. Which during the past few weeks with Mack home was problematic as I would find her running late for school because she had snuck in and cuddled up with dad... but heck...with him home only for three weeks......who could get mad!

We love you Mackelle
