This is Ashlee Maxine McDonald, born on a gorgeous and bright February 6, 1998 morning in St George Utah. She is the teeny tiny bald baby! She was seven months old in this picture (Chablis' weeding)! She was 5 pounds 6 ounces, and from the beginning not a moment of pain (the doctor couldn't be found as I shouldn't have been having a baby so soon...or so they said!)...until this year when she discovered that she had a voice, could fight back and think that she was 25! Ash was named after her grandma Maxine and has loved that name and carried it proudly! She is sweet and lovable along with a total cuddle bug! Her dad used to get her out of her bed to go lay with him, because she would curl right up to your back and twirl her fingers in your hair.... it out mack to sleep every time! She has been her dad's bug since we brought her home 10 hours after she was born! ( WHAT? The hospital was noisy and under construction...and we had done this all before!) She slept through the night and only had to be checked on when we couldn't find Carrisa.....who would crawl in her bassinet to lay by her....or pull her out to play with her. Somehow she survived, she is little but she is Tough! Asheebug loves to dance and create funny songs that get sung over and over and over and over...oh...you get the drift.....Her little brother loves her to pieces and can't get enough of her, often wanting to be carried downstairs on her back....I think JD is almost as big as she is! But she always cheerfully obliges and has been slyly trying to coax JD into going to bed with her and snuggling! She is becoming a fantastic piano player and wants to add the violin and possibly the flute to her talents! He new thing has been to ask for a real piano...daily....we're working on it. (Anyone have one to give away!) Ash could eat even Chayce under the table, and likes most things except sweet potatoes and asparagus (a crime in my book, but we'll let it pass, since she loves fish! For her birthday party she chose to celebrate with a decadent 4 layer strawberry mousse cake and to watch movies with her mom and sisters while all snuggled in our bed! I think she had two huge pieces that night! and the rest for breakfast the next morning. She loves school and has been very successful in math and reading, and even went on to the school level for her science fair project. Ashlee we love you and your dad and I know that it is hard to be the very middle child! But you are doing phenomenally well at being heard and making your brothers and sisters laugh...in the most subtle way....and sometimes getting away with only things that the middle child could.....Thank you for making our life more complete and better for having you in it! Happy Birthday, may this be the best year ever!...until your 25!
