So this sweet little adorable little man child thinks he is so much bigger the he is!! Often he will say something to me about a "fiend", I nod and off he goes...but then I usually hear the door opening and closing, and by the time I get down there he is half way down the street to his friends. Luckily for me, he has yet to discover the pond just beyond our house and never really ventures out back into the wetlands behind our home. But today....I, we..the kids and I had the scare of our life! JD had been more then thrilled that his ashee was home and had settled down to play with her...or so we thought. As I was getting ready to leave for a PTA activity, I was telling the kids to play with JD so he wouldn't get upset when the truck started.....except we couldn't find him....Chayce lying on his back said "oh yeah...he is outside with Carris." The only problem with that is that Carrisa was heading to the store with her friends....on foot....
I ran over to the park to look for him there, where he has also been known to head...no jd. I race back to the house and round up the kids...well at least the kids that I know where they are...and we start looking, Chayce on foot, Ash and Kele on bikes...making the rounds of where this little whippersnapper knows that his friends live...we aren't finding him anywhere...I hop in the truck to go find Carrisa hoping beyond hope that she decided to let him tag along (yeah right!) and jsut didn't bother telling us! I go clear to the store and circle the parking lot...no luck on JD but I do find Carrisa and her friend...I make them get in the car...I am ready to call the police and trying to stay calm...we head back home and I decide to drive through the new construction thinking that maybe he had just wandered that far.....and found something interesting....I am dialing 911.....when the kids phone call comes in... WE FOUND HIM! I breathe easy as they explain...he was in the pantry curled up in the back on a pillow.....the pantry?! Who would look in there!! We had looked in closets and under beds and behind chairs....even the shower....because he loves little spaces like that...but the pantry....
Underneath him was several candy wrappers and his hands were full of M&M's...I guess he needed space away from his mother to eat his candy in peace...and not having to share.....
SO I guess I will officially be paying for therapy in the years to come as he explains how his mom forced him to hide in the closet....but at least he was comfortable!

Scary...nope I wasn't home, but I was the one they found to let me know he was missing...email me and I'll tell you the whole story...scared the whole crap out of ME!!! I feel for you...thank goodness for those M&M's he was hiding!
